Zeller Corporation, a leader in electrical manufacturing solutions, was looking to move and upgrade its operation of 44 years. Outgrowing its old location, Zeller was looking to remodel 65,000 SF at the old Gleason Business Center to optimize the supply chain between the two organizations. Taylor lead the enhancement and redevelopment of the old Gleason Works into a state-of-the-art business center. The growing part of our business, the freight management required us to have about 50,000 square feet whereas our old building was 4,000. So it was quite a big increase for us to build a building this size. We wanted a new facility, and we knew the need to stay competitive… our business required it, but we weren’t looking forward to building one. We really would have preferred to buy an existing building because we are freight transportation people. We are generally managers, we know nothing about building, we’ve never done any major improvements to our old terminal. We looked and looked at existing buildings to fit our need but we are a very unique company and it would have been a major reconstruction project to turn those buildings with one or two dock doors to manage the 25 dock doors we needed.
